I just had amazing news about Katherine! This adorable 6 year old, who is my grandaughter, had surgery on her eye at Columbia Presbyterian by Dr. Kane today. She woke up with a clear plastic shield. This was soooo much better than the dark patch she previously endured! We hope that her sight is preserved. Childhood glaucoma robbed my half-brother of his eye-sight, but not his heart sight. This was in the 1940′s. He was diagnosed at the Mayo Clinic. Thanks to research and modern medicine, Katherine may have a clear view of her world today and tomorrow!
Otherwise, I worked on my first paper for my doctoral class. I have spent two weeks reading and tossing out material that I don’t think pertains to my paper. All night long. Lionel Ritchie made it sound like so much fun.
